My Jeans Collection

I recently expanded and upgraded my collection of jeans by about 10 pairs. I even had a stylist help me out along the way and offer her opinions. And by that... I mean my awesome friend Brookelyn gave me a bunch of hand-me-down jeans 😄. I'm so excited to have lots of pairs to choose from to fit just the look I'm going for. Three cheers for Brookelyn!

Here are the results from my try on session and a review of each pair of jeans. Here's the lowdown, folks:

#1 The Straight Leg

I've been on the lookout for a pair of "mom jeans" that have been in fashion lately, and these American Eagle straight leg jeans do the job. They fit well and are comfortable overall. I'd wear these with a tighter top to offset the wide leg look.

#2 The Drippy Zippy

Like the name implies, these jeans have some unique zipper accents across the upper thigh that add some "drip" to a classic blue jean. My only concern is that the pants don't fit the best on the waist, but I think it's worth it to rock this fun style!

#3 The Yee Haw

These bootcut jeans give me a country vibe, and they also remind me of 90s fashion with the lower cut around the hips. They have a fun white lining on the seams and a pattern on the back pockets, too. I don't have anything else like these jeans, but now I can use them as a statement piece. I'll be digging through my closet to find the perfect shirt to match!

#4 The Bees Knees Capris

These pants fit like a dream. Plus, the color is vibrant and they hit at a length that's long enough for fall and short enough for summer. I don't really have complaints about these! They really are the bees knees.

#5 Grey Strides

I gotta be honest, I feel so cool when I'm wearing these. The grey wash color is great because it's just a step away from black, making it easy to style. I wore these pants with a black top and warm yellow cardigan recently. I really like 'em 😊.

#6 Good Ole' Fashioned Blue Jeans

These jeans are reliable, comfortable, and overall good. The waist is a little loose, however, so I prefer to wear these with a belt. These pants are a blank canvas -- you can dress them up or down and be out the door.

#7 The Edgy Teen

I feel like these pants say attitude. The rips and patches add a little something to a regular pair of pants, and I love the style!

#8 The Totally-Too-Tight-Trousers

While these are Brookelyn's favorite, they unfortunately just do not fit right. I thought they might work, but after trying them on again I know I won't reach for them. Who likes to wear poor fitting pants, right? I'll have to donate them for someone else to enjoy.

#9 The Perfect Match

These high-waisted jeans have been my go-to. They fit well, have a pretty light blue wash, and have a comfortable amount of stretch. I don't have to bother with a belt, either. All in all, they're my perfect match!

#10 The Green Jean Machine

How about a little color to close out?! These forest green pants are a fun color to play with, although I don't know if I have too much that would match. It might come in handy for Christmas! These jeans are skin-tight and are waiting in the wings to be worn.

Thanks for following along on my pant-tastic journey. I had fun playing with fashion and planning future outfits. My wardrobe got a little upgrade, if you know what I jean!

  1. Love this post, Danielle! How long did it take you to try on all these jeans and take pictures? Very impressive write-up of each of the styles. Blame your parents for your bad puns; it's clearly in your jeans.

Crumbl Cookie Review!

Welcome to the Crumbl Rumble . 16 cookies are facing off in a head to head battle to determine the ultimate cookie champion. Let's find out what flavor can really pack a punch! Here. We. Go. Pink Velvet vs. Double Chocolate Chunk Pink Velvet is a cake batter flavored cookie with vanilla cream cheese frosting and a garnish of pink cookie crumbs. Double Chocolate Chunk features both semisweet chocolate chips and milk chocolate chunks with a sprinkle of sea salt. Both of these cookies were lovely, taking me back to the sweet moment of eating them. That's what I love about food; it is more than something to eat, it's a memory, too.  Pink Velvet was the first Crumbl cookie I tried about two years ago, and I was so excited to see what all the hype was about. It sure delivered! I love the ever-so-slight crunch that leads into each soft, pillowy bite. The cream cheese frosting was delicious, and there is something about eating a pink cookie that sparks serotonin. 💗  I enjoyed Dou...

Fun with Fragrance!

Everyone likes smelling good, and there are so many wonderful scents out there that can create an aroma that is uniquely your own. From floral and citrusy to woodsy and warm, fragrance is limitless.  There are a few steps in my daily routine that help me feel fresh and delight my senses: body wash, lotion, deodorant, and perfume. I have a lot of fun trying new products and scents, but I have compiled a list of my personal favorites. It's important to note, though, that everyone gravitates towards different types and amounts of scents. For example, fragrance in makeup products seems unnecessary to me, while fragrance in skincare seems like a must. And eucalyptus is one of my least favorite scents, while for others it's their favorite. Whatever floats your boat, as they say. Let's get to the pretty smells 😊 Body Wash I really enjoy the  Love Beauty and Planet Body Washes ! I've tried the Shea Butter & Sandalwood variety and am currently using the Coconut Water & ...

Preparing for a Princess Event!

I'm lucky enough to have a job making magic. ✨ Princess performing is a culmination of many things I love: dress up, acting, and making people happy. I've attended events and birthday parties for children for over two years as your favorite Disney princesses, and I absolutely love it! Bringing these characters to life and giving the gift of magic to families is so special. It's an art that truly lights me up. There is quite the process of preparing for each event, though, and I want to guide you along the journey. CHARACTER PREPARATIONS First of all, you must have a solid foundation of knowledge about your character. You should be ready to answer any question... and kids ask  a lot  of questions. This preparation includes re-watching your princess's movie and/or tv series and preparing dialogue that aligns with what your character would say. For example, if I were preparing to be Ariel, I would keep phrases like "have a fin-tastic day," "I hope you're...
