Crumbl Cookie Review!

Welcome to the Crumbl Rumble. 16 cookies are facing off in a head to head battle to determine the ultimate cookie champion. Let's find out what flavor can really pack a punch! Here. We. Go.

Pink Velvet vs. Double Chocolate Chunk

Pink Velvet is a cake batter flavored cookie with vanilla cream cheese frosting and a garnish of pink cookie crumbs. Double Chocolate Chunk features both semisweet chocolate chips and milk chocolate chunks with a sprinkle of sea salt. Both of these cookies were lovely, taking me back to the sweet moment of eating them. That's what I love about food; it is more than something to eat, it's a memory, too.

Pink Velvet was the first Crumbl cookie I tried about two years ago, and I was so excited to see what all the hype was about. It sure delivered! I love the ever-so-slight crunch that leads into each soft, pillowy bite. The cream cheese frosting was delicious, and there is something about eating a pink cookie that sparks serotonin. πŸ’—

I enjoyed Double Chocolate Chunk after a road trip with my boyfriend. After much anticipation, we arrived at Crumbl in Rochester, Minnesota just after dark and nibbled on our cookies outside in the warm summer night. He said that I was gazing at my cookie 😁. I think this flavor is a classic, something you could never go wrong with, and it had a nice ratio of chocolate to cookie.

Boom, pow! Alas, Pink Velvet knocked out Double Chocolate Chunk in this round because of it's extra layers of flavor and yumminess.

Peanut Butter Jelly vs Triple Berry Cobbler

Ever since trying the Peanut Butter Jelly cookie a few years ago, my mother has not stopped talking about it. And that is saying a lot, because she is quite the Dessert Connoisseur. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

The Peanut Butter and Jelly cookie features a hearty peanut butter base with peanut butter buttercream and a jam swirl on top. I'll admit, this could be a front runner! I am a sucker for a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and I appreciate how the smoothness of the buttercream and jam helps the cookie not feel too thick. I need to try it again when Crumbl returns it to their flavor listing.

I tried Triple Berry Cobbler when I was driving back to my university after coming home for a break. It was like a going away gift, because Crumbl locations are far more prevalent in my hometown than at school. This cookie combines strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry jams atop a cinnamon streusel cookie. The cinnamon cream cheese frosting ties it all together. It was very tasty, like something grandma would make. However, it wasn't as memorable as the Peanut Butter and Jelly.

Cinnamon Frybread vs Frosted Animal Cookie

The next four cookies hail all the way from Atlanta, Georgia. My brother and his fiancΓ© bought me a package of Crumbl cookies to celebrate my birthday. They know me well!

First in the ring is Cinnamon Frybread. This cookie took a swing with it's warm, buttery flavor and cinnamon honey buttercream. A perfect combination of sweet and salty.

Here comes our next contender! While Frosted Animal Cookie may look timid and sweet, she actually is highly dangerous. With a sugar cookie and sprinkles base, melted white chocolate topping, and Circus Animal Cookie for garnish, she can take down tastebuds in one bite.

I give this round to Frosted Animal Cookie because the sweet flavor, texture, and appeal are all spot on. It is a pretty package of perfection! The cookie is also enjoyable both warm or cool.

Oreo Sandwich vs Strawberry Shortcake

The Oreo Sandwich is the biggest cookie on this list because it is double stacked with frosting in the middle. The cookie layers are thick, chocolatey, and brownie-like, and the frosting in between adds a welcome creaminess. Mmm, mmm, good!

Strawberry Shortcake was my brother's request, as it is one of his favorite desserts. This is when I learned how the different cookie bases vary at Crumbl. Most of their cookies have that loveable slight crunch and soft inside. They are even prone to falling apart because they are so soft and moist. However, the Strawberry Shortcake cookie really just felt like cake. Which makes sense, as that is what the dessert entails, but I didn't like biting into a cookie shaped treat to find a cake imposter.

This winner is Oreo Sandwich!

Here are the standings so far:

Reese's Peanut Butter Cup vs Eggnog

I split a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup cookie with an old friend after a lunch together catching up. The cookie is, naturally, a peanut butter cookie with Reese's cups along with melted peanut butter. Dare I say it... this cookie had a little too much peanut butter. *Gasp!* While I can eat a spoonful straight from the jar, the combination of cookie and layers of peanut butter was just a bit too thick for me.

I've had eggnog to drink maybe once in my life, so I was curious about trying an eggnog flavored cookie. It had a sugar cookie base with smooth eggnog buttercream and ground nutmeg -- served cold. It delivered that classic, Christmasy spice while still being creamy and light. I enjoyed it! I liked the experience of trying something totally new. Eggnog wins this battle.

Maple Bacon vs Easter Sugar Cookie

Who's that coming in hot?! It's Maple Bacon in all of her glory. The brand describes it as "a fluffy buttermilk cookie swirled with thick maple frosting, a sprinkle of real crispy bacon bits, and a drizzle of maple syrup." I had to get my hands on this cookie. I was driving back from Iowa on a work trip and snagged one, appropriately around brunch time. I loved the subtle saltiness, thick layer of maple frosting, and buttery cookie. It sure was sweet, but enjoying it in two to three servings was perfect. Truly one-of-a-kind.

Easter Sugar Cookie was gifted to me by my parents when we gathered for our Easter celebration. (Thanks, Mom and Dad!) It is a classic sugar cookie with vanilla buttercream and a Cadbury egg on top. Nothing overly special, but it did bring me a lot of joy.

Maple Bacon beat out Easter Sugar Cookie in this Crumbl Rumble.

Cookies and Cream Milkshake vs Triple Chocolate Chip

The last four contenders are part of a box given to me by my family for my college graduation ceremony. When you study your butt off for three and a half years, cookies are in order. πŸ˜‰

Cookies and Cream Milkshake looked like something I would love. It had a cookies and cream, vanilla-y base with creamy frosting and a mini Oreo on top. I see where they were going with the milkshake idea, but it lacked a bit of flavor for me. I think it would have been better with an extra hit of chocolate. Which leads us to the next cookie...

Triple Chocolate Chip features semi-sweet chocolate chunks, white chips, AND milk chocolate chips. The base is like a decadent brownie, and I can not recommend warming it up enough. It becomes an ooey-gooey dessert experience! Another surprise with this one, because just based off of it's appearance, I thought it would be too intense for me. I was wrong!

Triple Chocolate Chip knocked out Cookies and Cream Milkshake.

Strawberry Cupcake vs Buttermilk Pancake

What a sweet cookie to end on, Strawberry Cupcake. It had a lovely cake batter flavor with slightly tart strawberry cream cheese frosting and sprinkles to make it all the more festive. What a treat!

Buttermilk Pancake is just what it sounds like: a pancake cookie base topped with a dollop of syrup and buttercream. The flavors were nice and cozy, but it only tasted good when it was warmed up. At room temperature, the flavors fell flat. Overall, I enjoyed the creativity of the flavor more than the actual taste.

Strawberry Cupcake is the winner of this matchup!

Check out the status of our bracket:

The flavors have spoken, so I'll waste no time and let you see how I rank the cookies in the next rounds of the Crumbl Rumble:

Pink Velvet and Triple Chocolate Chip put up a good fight, but it's down to the final battle between Frosted Animal Cookie and Maple Bacon! Both of these cookies were standout favorites of mine. They are each well trained, flavorful fighters! However, there is one cookie I could eat any day, any time, no strings attached. And that is...

Frosted Animal Cookie takes the cake! Or, um... cookie. Who wants to come with me on the next Crumbl run? βœ‹

If You Were a Color, What Would You Be?

Personalities can be as diverse as colors on a color wheel. We all know people who fit the bright, bubbly expression of the color yellow or the calm, welcoming aura of the color blue. I think it's interesting how people associate different colors with various emotions and types of people.  Color psychology is an entire branch of psychology that looks at how color affects human behavior. It is used by cultures to communicate rank or meaning, by psychologists to study emotion, and by businesses to send specific advertising messages to consumers. I find it fascinating that while color plays a significant role in our experience of life, it is simply a matter of perception. There is no truth of color, it's just how our minds help us process our surroundings. A video from Read Write Now does a great job explaining the common associations most Western cultures have with different colors. I provided a recap below.  Black: power, mystery, sophistication, grief, seriousness White: Sof...

Preparing for a Princess Event!

I'm lucky enough to have a job making magic. ✨ Princess performing is a culmination of many things I love: dress up, acting, and making people happy. I've attended events and birthday parties for children for over two years as your favorite Disney princesses, and I absolutely love it! Bringing these characters to life and giving the gift of magic to families is so special. It's an art that truly lights me up. There is quite the process of preparing for each event, though, and I want to guide you along the journey. CHARACTER PREPARATIONS First of all, you must have a solid foundation of knowledge about your character. You should be ready to answer any question... and kids ask  a lot  of questions. This preparation includes re-watching your princess's movie and/or tv series and preparing dialogue that aligns with what your character would say. For example, if I were preparing to be Ariel, I would keep phrases like "have a fin-tastic day," "I hope you're...
